About Us
Our Mission
Wisdom is a gift that must be shared.
Wisdom Circle fosters meaningful intergenerational connections by linking individuals seeking guidance (Wisdom Seekers) with a network of experienced older adults (“Wisdom Keepers”). Through empathy and care, our Wisdom Keepers share the wisdom of their life experiences to offer supportive advice.
What we do
Life doesn’t come with a manual, but it does come with people who’ve lived it. Wisdom Circle provides a confidential space where people can seek real advice from those who have been through similar experiences—without judgment, bias, or cost.
Our Vision
Wisdom is a gift that must be shared. We believe in the power of real people with real experiences, sharing wisdom not from textbooks or algorithms, but from the lives they’ve lived. We believe that no one should have to navigate life’s toughest moments alone when others have learned from walking the path before them.
Who We Are
For individuals seeking clarity, guidance, and connection, particularly when navigating life’s complexities, the Elder Wisdom Circle (EWC) provides a powerful alternative.
Recognizing that you shouldn’t have to figure life out alone when others have already walked the path before you, EWC, established in 2001 by Doug Meckelson, connects younger individuals with a compassionate network of elder volunteers (ages 55-105).
This safe and judgment-free space offers genuine, lived wisdom on a range of topics, including relationships, family matters, career decisions, and self-improvement. Through our confidential platform, users receive free, personalized advice – no bots, no judgment, just honest, heartfelt advice from someone who understands.
Having facilitated over 500,000 meaningful connections, as featured in outlets like ABC, BBC, NPR, and Time, EWC truly offers a meaningful connection between generations, where the rich experiences of elders become an invaluable guide for those navigating their own journeys.
