Ways To Give

Our Mission

Wisdom Circle fosters meaningful intergenerational connections by linking individuals seeking guidance, Advice Seekers, with a network of experienced older adults, Wisdom Keepers. Through empathy and care, our Wisdom Keepers share the wisdom of their life experiences to offer supportive advice.

What we do

Life doesn’t come with a manual, but it does come with people who’ve lived it. Wisdom Circle provides a confidential space where people can seek real advice from those who have been through similar experiences—without judgment, bias, or cost.

Our Vision

Wisdom is a gift that must be shared. We believe in the power of real people with real experiences, sharing wisdom not from textbooks or algorithms, but from the lives they’ve lived. We believe that no one should have to navigate life’s toughest moments alone when others have learned from walking the path before them.

Wisdom Circle

WC connects elders and advice seekers, offering free, confidential advice. Elders share experiences and stay engaged, while seekers gain guidance from those with similar experiences. This virtual service transcends geographical barriers, providing personalized, empathetic connections that can make a difference in people’s lives.

  • 23 years of service providing valuable and fulfilling support for young people and others in need
  • We have responded to more than half a million requests from over 187 countries around the world
  • 90% of advice seekers were satisfied, or very satisfied with the advice and support given
  • 96% of advice seekers would recommend us to others

We create a world where more than half a million connections have been made between generations, in facing human challenges and situations.

For the elders, we provide an opportunity to share their life experiences, wisdom, and perspectives with those who seek their guidance. It also helps them stay mentally active, socially engaged, and emotionally fulfilled while they are helping others with their issues, and problems.

For the seekers, it offers a source of free and confidential advice from someone who has been through similar situations, or challenges. Sometimes, based on situations in life, help from friends, family, and those outside their circle, is an essential perspective.

Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Elder Wisdom Circle has Elders across North America and the globe. EWC programs, and our Elders, have been featured on ABC, BBC, and in such publications as the Wall Street Journal and Time magazine, among others.

The Wisdom Circle is an IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Your financial support is always needed and appreciated. This helps us scale our outreach and support. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation via our secure donation form below.

Your Opportunity To Help

We reach people in countries and cultures all over the world. Our services provide anonymity as an option, and we have wisdom keepers from various backgrounds and experience levels that we use to support the person seeking help or knowledge.

Once you have made the decision to support our cause, encourage your friends, family, and others in your community to do the same. Our system will remember yours and others donations on a personal dashboard, and add up as you are able to contribute.

What We Are Hearing

We are available and helping people from countries all over the world. The primary age group of advice seekers who reach out to us are between the ages of 18 to 35.  The types of topics we hear are about dating, economic anxiety, domestic issues, friendships, and people feeling isolated. This is very consistent with the findings of the Newport Institute.

“Sapientia tua id porro redde”  –  Pay it forward with your wisdom.
